Inspiration

I'm currently in the process of redoing my portfolio (what designer isn't?) and I will admit some days I do find it a bit daunting and lose motivation and other days I don't. The reason why I lose motivation from time to time is because, in 2017 just after finishing my MA I had major health troubles which are still effecting me now sadly. However I try my best to push through it because it doesn't immobilise my ability as a graphic designer.

I wanted to speak about being and staying inspired (originally why I brought up losing motivation), my MA lecturer always use to say to our class 'in order to output, you must input' (que thoughts of a dojo teacher dressed in a kimono) and it always seems true, as I currently search for ways to redo my paper portfolio I stumbled across this Creative Bloq article https://www.creativebloq.com/portfolios/paper-portfolios-5132559 and I'm completely amazed by what I see and it immediately gets the ball rolling for me.

Here are just a few examples of the portfolios + links to their pages

Lisa Dino

ALU

Dyla Rosli

Charlotte Allen

These were just some of the projects that I really liked and the ones that stood out to me, so if they did to me imagine how it will for an employer. Anyway with all this in mind I started generating ideas for my own paper portfolio, as I already have an online portfolio I like the idea of potential employers having something tactile in their hands as they observe the work, and if successfully executed they carry long lasting impressions, which might put you ahead of the competition.
